GROVE Apotheca Coconut Cream Crayon

This has been a year of trying new types of products, from a plant based facial line to sunscreens in stick form, I am always amazed at the array and creativity that formulators abound us with. Amber from GROVE Apotheca imagined delivering us natural and almost raw ingredients in her new cream crayon stick.

Formulated with organic coconut oil, cocoa butter and organic shea butter, the cream crayon stick has a light cocoa buttery, nutty aroma. With minor effort, the butter glides on in just a few swipes. Along with gentle rubbing, the butters and oils blend right into my skin.

At first, I had to think on how I was to use the crayon stick (like I've never moisturized with a stick before), but after a month, this crayon became the "go to" stick. Here are my uses:

Facial dry patches- comes in handy for applying to focused dry areas on my lower cheeks. With the autumn weather here, my face has definitely taken notice

Hand moisturizer- great for touching up during the day after hand washing without any liquid mess or oilyness and without the heavy fragrance some lotions carry, lightweight for throwing in your purse or day bag

After shower moisturizer- the crayon stick works well to add moisture back to the skin right after drying, bc it is stick form, it does take a few swipes to get the product on the skin. I've made the application part of my pre bedtime routine and find it very relaxing when gliding the stick on my arms and legs (everyone needs a little bedtime routine right?!!)

The crayon stick for me is good for moisturizing smaller places rather than the entire body only because it takes time to swipe and glide the stick. Other than that, I enjoy using it and find the screw on top and container it comes in very handy and easy to take along during the day.

Ingredients we love:

Organic coconut oil: the saturated fatty acid content makes it a good moisturizer, improves skin hydration and can increase skin surface lipid levels

Cocoa seed butter: topical application of cocoa polyphenols has been shown to positively affect skin elasticity and skin tone

Organic shea seed butter: shea butter's fatty acid profile including palmitic, oleic, stearic and linoleic acids aid in moisture retention and cell regeneration

I definitely adore GROVE Apotheca's Coconut Cream Crayon Stick. It offers all the skin benefits of shea and cocoa butter and without the hassles of the typical lotion or cream. I can have the benefits of these fabulous oils, without feeling oily or worrying about it ending up all inside my bag. It's especially perfect right now in cooler weather when skin gets really dry and you want a quick and easy remedy.

It may take getting used to at first applying product on a stick, but within a couple of days, you'll be seeking out your crayon stick! A definite Rave favorite.
